Cooking classes for schools

School workshops

Food at Twelve deliver a range of cookery workshops for Primary and Secondary Schools across Birmingham looking to put cooking back into their curriculum.

Our cookery tutors use recipes that compliment the National Curriculum as well as teaching students about healthy eating and lifestyles.  Cooking classes are fun, hands-on and cross curricular, including maths, english and even chemistry!  Cooking as a brigade of young cooks is a wonderful way to learn how to work as a team and is a great way to develop key personal skills and confidence.

All ingredients, equipment, aprons and utensils are provided - we don't need a kitchen to work in so don't worry if your school doesn't have the facilities.

Our cookery classes can be tailored to compliment a particular class topic or school theme, whether you're looking to celebrate an event with the whole school or develop a learning topic in class we can design an imaginative and engaging workshop for your school.

A lot can be achieved with some simple ingredients and a passion.

School cookery clubs

Our cookery tutors can set up Breakfast or After-school cookery clubs at your school where children cook with us to create some delicious and nutritious dishes.

The cookery clubs are fun and relaxed with children learning a range of new cooking skills and trying new flavours.

Recipes will change from sweet to savoury with children being able to eat and take home what they've cooked!

Food at Twelve's cookery clubs are one hour long, suitable for Primary and Secondary schools.  We provide all ingredients, equipment, aprons and utensils.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to cook healthy and delicious meals.

That's why we've made our cookery classes pop-up, we can take our tutors and equipment anywhere - from field to front room, from hotel lobby to library.

We are passionate about delivering our food and wellbeing workshops to the community and welcome the challenge of your space!
